Annie Knazs Jung, MA, is a Counselor Intern for children, adolescents, families and individuals. She is working toward licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor. In addition to her private practice in mental health counseling, Annie serves on administrative staff with Episcopal High School as the Director of Cornerstones, a student leadership and service program.
Annie’s passion is to work with young and older clients to enjoy their lives more through solving behavioral, relational, and emotional issues that prevent a fulfilled life of joy, love, and peace. Annie finds joy in helping her clients find enjoyment in God’s gifts of their personality, talents, relationships, and purpose in their life.
Professional Background
Annie has worked with children and teenagers most of her life through various church ministries and school positions. She earned her undergraduate degree in Mass Communication, Public Relations at Louisiana State University in 2000. In 2006 she completed her Masters of Arts in Community Counseling at Louisiana State University. Annie is currently pursuing a post-Master’s Specialist Certificate in Education with a focus on Children and Adolescent Counseling.
Personal
Annie was raised in Baton Rouge, LA and the surrounding area and graduated from Christian Life Academy in 1995. Annie was raised Christian and has felt a part of the church community her entire life. She is a practicing Episcopalian and enjoys volunteering with Children’s programs and International Mission work with her church. She has a husband, Stephen, of 8 years and two children, Bella (7), Helene (1).
